Before beginning a career in psychology, I spent years as an elementary school teacher in Southern California, where I grew up and lived up until last year. While I cherished my time in education, my true passion emerged as I began to study psychology. I was also captivated by my own transformative experiences in the study and the application of psychology and therapy in my own life. I believe that true healing happens in the presence of others, and I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey.
Outside of my love for Psychology, I enjoy hiking (I love the outdoors), wakeboarding, biking, guitar, creative writing, cooking, watching comedy, and reading.
I specialize in helping adults navigate a range of concerns, including trauma, self-esteem issues, addiction, grief, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, depression, coping skills, relationship challenges, etc. My goal is to empower you to overcome obstacles and form meaningful, lasting connections with others.
I understand that being vulnerable can be challenging, and my goal is to help you navigate this process with sensitivity and care. In our sessions, I prioritize building a real relationship, where trust and mutual respect are central. We are in this work together and I share this space of vulnerability and emotional risk taking with you. We are here to grow and growth always requires risk. That being said, together, we will create a safe and secure environment that encourages open dialogue and allows you to delve into personal topics without fear of judgment.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, blending Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. I believe in a personalized approach—because your path is unique, and a one-size-fits-all method simply won’t cut it. This eclectic mix helps tailor our work to best support your personal growth and healing.
